Cllr. Daniel Whooley
Green Party Councillor for the Ongar ward!
In May 2019, I was honoured to be elected Green Party Councillor for Huntstown, Hartstown, Littlepace, Ongar and Hansfield.
I sit on the Housing Strategic Policy Committee, the Blanchardstown Local Drug & Alcohol Task Force, the Joint Policing Committee and the Ongar Development Group. I grew up and live in Rusheeney Village, and I am currently studying Cyber Security in IT Blanchardstown. I went to Hartstown Community College and I was on the National Council of Foroige working for young people in my community.
My Vision for Ongar
I am passionate about improving our environment and building a better community. I bring a new voice – a fresh voice – to Fingal County Council.
The ongar ward has the potential to become one of the most environmentally sustainable and family friendly areas in Dublin.
To achieve this, I believe that these are the the core policy issues that can deliver this.
The three pillars of my policy goals for Fingal and Ongar are:
Affordable housing
Schools & Facilities for Young People
Public Transport & Cycling
